Delhi Teachers University announces Faculty Development & Enrichment Program in the light of Viksit Bharat 2047 on Indian knowledge System “विकसित भारत @2047 के आलोक में भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा के नूतन आयाम”.

Delhi Teachers University (DeTU) announces an innovative Faculty Development & Enrichment Program focusing on “विकसित भारत @2047 के आलोक में भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा के नूतन आयाम ” from 8th to 12th January 2024 in online mode. This online program, organized by DeTU, aims to bridge the gap between traditional Indian wisdom and contemporary education, aligning with the directives of UGC in pursuance of NEP 2020. The program is being organised under the mentorship of hon’ble Vice Chancellor (DeTU) Prof. Dhananjay Joshi.
Professor Hrushikesh Senapaty, a luminary in the field of education and the esteemed former Director of NCERT, will be the distinguished guest during the inaugural session. Several esteemed academicians will grace the occasion to share insights on the principles, concepts, and scope of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) during a dozen sessions spread across the week long programme. The program explores the historical evolution of IKS, emphasizing its relevance in the present educational landscape. Key highlights include sessions on Vedas, Upanishads, Darshanas, Gurukul System of Education, and the adaptation of traditional teaching methods to modern classrooms.
The key members behind the conceptualization of this event are Ms. Trishala Bhaskar (Assistant Professor, DeTU) and Dr. Sonal Chabra (Assistant Professor, DeTU).
This Faculty Development Program is a unique opportunity for educators to delve into the rich tapestry of Indian Knowledge Systems and align their teaching methodologies with the ethos of the Viksit Bharat @2047 initiative.
